About me

I was born in France in 1979. I teach humanities in preparatory classes of a high school in Orléans (French literature, Ancient Greek and Latin). As often as possible, I organize visits and journeys for the pupils in Latin and Greek classes, hoping more and more young people will take interest in Ancient civilizations.

Concurrently, I am engaged in research on Greek Antiquity. My main speciality is the condition of the newborn, both in classical Greek society and in literature from Homer to Menander. My Ph.D. thesis deals with abandoned children in Greek civilisation and literature until the end of the fourth century B.C. I also wrote papers on other aspects of childbirth, such as the famous socratic maieutics and the problem of overpopulation in Aristotle's ideal city. Now I am revising my thesis with a view to having it published.
